Free College Education for Senior Citizen

University of California, BerkeleyImage via Wikipedia

Did you know that if you are 60 or older, you may qualify for a free or reduced rate for tuition at your local campusSenior citizens can attend most colleges free of charge or a reduced rate depending on seating availability.  You have to meet the requirements of the college and pay fees, book and educational related expenses.  Some colleges only allow you to audit the classes , whereas others are credit based only.  I am currently working on another blog specific to this post.  I am researching all campuses in each state and I hope to provide you with a comprehensive list of these campuses complete with contact information,  My new blog is at http://www.senioredu.blogspot.com/.   I hope it provides all the information you need to get started today.  College is not only good for the mind, but it is food for the soul.  It is a good way to remain active and productive after retirement.  So please consider calling your local college campus and inquire in financial aid as to your eligibility.  Also, ask your local tax advisor about the Lifetime Learning Credit that is available.
