Free College Education for Senior Citizen

University of California, BerkeleyImage via Wikipedia

Did you know that if you are 60 or older, you may qualify for a free or reduced rate for tuition at your local campusSenior citizens can attend most colleges free of charge or a reduced rate depending on seating availability.  You have to meet the requirements of the college and pay fees, book and educational related expenses.  Some colleges only allow you to audit the classes , whereas others are credit based only.  I am currently working on another blog specific to this post.  I am researching all campuses in each state and I hope to provide you with a comprehensive list of these campuses complete with contact information,  My new blog is at http://www.senioredu.blogspot.com/.   I hope it provides all the information you need to get started today.  College is not only good for the mind, but it is food for the soul.  It is a good way to remain active and productive after retirement.  So please consider calling your local college campus and inquire in financial aid as to your eligibility.  Also, ask your local tax advisor about the Lifetime Learning Credit that is available.

No One Knows Where I have Been

I don't know how things are going for you lately, but as for me, I have been pushed beyond my limits. I have been on both sides of life, the haves and the have nots, and now I am somewhere in between the two slowly heading toward the later. I am college educated and by no means lazy. I have worked at least two if not three jobs since I was 13. Somewhere I should have arrived. Not only the obvious money and resources I need are drying up, but I am losing a sense of joy for living. I am not a quitter. Spending endless hours surfing the net for answers, I have stumbled across some interesting resources that I would like to share with you. If you have found some helpful links please feel free to add them to this site.
